Bohol: Heart of the Islands

I've been wanting to go to Bohol (an island in the Philippines) since God knows when. My late father also wished to go there but for sure he can see it from where he is now. My Mama Vi is also very excited and is anticipating much about this 3 day getaway. Itinerary were planned by my brother in law Ron as his family is originally from Bohol.

LITE FERRIES

We took a lite ferry from Cagayan de Oro City to Jagna, Bohol. There trips are scheduled so better check at the Macabalan Port on the timings and days of operation because I only know they are leaving Monday evening at 10 pm at Macabalan Ports and we arrive at Jagna next day at around 5 am. Tickets are priced at 580 per person one way. You can get details of other trips of lite ferries at this link: http://www.liteferries.com/rates.html.

TRANSPORTATION

Ron have a friend name SERGIO IYO who owns a van that we rented as means of transportation throughout our stay in Bohol. We managed to haggle a little bit since we are renting his van and services because he would serve as our tourist guide. I will just update you for the mobile number, meanwhile this is his facebook address: https://www.facebook.com/sergio.iyo.73?lst=544917472%3A100012708707582%3A1493391376

ACCOMODATION

We rented a pension house through Booking.com, as usual named as CONSTRELL PENSION HOUSE. It is a very suitable transient place for a big group, affordable, accessible and comfortable. Just enough for what you've paid for. Staff is a big plus, they are accommodating and smiling which makes you want to come back.

TOURIST DESTINATIONS

Bohol is not just well known by Filipinos but for many foreign tourists, you can often see big coasters of tourist everywhere. If you're with a group of 10, better to book a van as it is convenient and usually drivers preferably local are the best tour guides.

Chocolate Hills is the number 1 stop, the best time to go there is very early in the morning, so sacrifice a little bit by waking up very early in the morning as you can have the place of your own.

As per wikipedia, these are a geological formation in the Bohol province of the Philippines.[1] There are at least 1,260 hills but there may be as many as 1,776 hills spread over an area of more than 50 square kilometres (20 sq mi).[2] They are covered in green grass that turns brown (like chocolate) during the dry season, hence the name.

TARSIER CONSERVATORY AREA

A place where they take care of the tarsiers, The Philippine tarsier measures only about 85 to 160 mm (3.35 to 6.30 in) in height, making it one of the smallest primates.

Tarsiers are suicidal when they get stressed so better keep them as quite as possible.
We went there and were very amazed because I can't really see them if I'm not really close in distance because I have a poor eyesight. Snaps below:
