Layover: Changi International Airport

I'm heading back to Dubai, this time with my mom and my aunts. Although it's going to be a long travel, one worry was a long layover of about 17 hours but negativity should not be entertained. This long layover is going to be at Changi International Airport in Singapore, the number 1 best airport in the world, so why worry right? I told my family that we should enjoy this chance and their amenities. I've been here before, several times but this is different because besides having my family with me, this airport never ceases to amaze me with all their new indoor entertainments.

We arrived around 10 pm, 7th of March 2014 via Silk Air from Cebu, Philippines to Singapore. The following are some of the photos taken inside Changi. I'm the youngest among the group, which means I'll be most often the photographer.

You can check your flight info 2 hours.

Free internet access points. You can never missed out a chance to check you facebook page huh..

After a short rest from a 3 hour flight from Cebu, we've started to roam around.

ORCHID GARDEN & KOI POND
DEPARTURE TRANSIT LOUNGE (LEVEL 2)
TERMINAL 2

SUNFLOWER GARDEN
DEPARTURE TRANSIT LOUNGE, LEVEL 3, Terminal 2

We went to THE ENTERTAINMENT DECK just beside the Sunflower garden where it offers a Movie Theater, although we didn't manage to watch any movie because it's full of people. We did manage to find a place for us to spend for the night for free, a whole space for us with a charging station, a must need specially when you travel with all our gadgets nowadays.
After spending the night, around 6am we looked for a place where we could have breakfast and guess what, since my companions have difficulty adapting to new types of food, we ended up on the safe side, Mcdonalds. :-)
In this airport, for long layover they over a free Singapore tour, which means you can go out and see this beautiful country. Since we are Filipinos, we don't need a visa going in.

Let the free stuff begin.

with the infamous MERLION

Their one condition is you have to go always with the group and be on time so that you won't miss your next flight and to avoid any immigration problems.
With this short trip that they offer to layover passengers, they really had a good way of inviting people to come back and visit again.
What better way to experience a long layover than to spend it at CHANGI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.
Now we are off to Dubai.
